Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Resources
& Upcoming Educational Opportunities
Challenge: The 21 Day Racial Equity Challenge: Starting April 5th, sponsored by Food Solutions of New England. Every morning registrants receive an email with a writing, article, video to help reflect and help dismantle racism. It will take 10-15 minutes each day, with additional resources if you want to delve more deeply. In particular, the initiative is relevant to dietitians as it also seeks to address the disparities in food security. Participation is free, and there are online forums to discuss the prompts if you so choose. The Academy piloted a 5-Day version of this after FNCE, and participants deemed it very worthwhile.
This workshop reviews bias types while analyzing productive and counterproductive ways to invoke bias. It will explore approaches to keep diversity and inclusion top of mind while also heightening its importance.
