New Mentorship Track: Quality and Process Improvement Track

Mentees with a project idea for quality and process improvement initiatives are encouraged to apply for the Quality and Process Improvement Track.

This track is designed to support credentialed practitioners in the process of developing and implementing continuous quality improvement projects. Examples of process improvement ideas:

  • Implementation of the Malnutrition Care Score in an acute care facility
  • Implementation of the Nutrition Care Process in a clinical setting
  • Improvement of transitions of care from inpatient to long term care or community
  • Development of a protocol for interdisciplinary wound care in post-acute care facility
  • Reducing meal delivery errors
  • Reducing food waste
  • Reducing tray delivery times
  • Improving onboarding efficiency for new hires
  • Standardizing competency evaluation for interns or students
  • Enhancing food insecurity screening processes

Mentees interested in participating in the Quality and Process Improvement Track must submit their project proposal by July 31. The Quality Management Committee will review all applications for this track. Applicants will be contacted after committee’s review; applicants with projects that have been approved will be sent next steps. Applicants whose projects are not approved for the track can be paired with a mentor from the main mentorship track.

This new track is the continuation of the Mentorship for Quality in Nutrition and Dietetics.
